Cool 8" I instrument panel tachometer

Is there supposed to be a tach in between the gear selector and speedo displayed in either regular D drive mode (auto) or (M) gear selector mode?
2019 T5 Momentum. The manual says so, the dealer says it doesnt come with a tachometer. I'm pulling my hair out trying g to figure out when to switch gears in M mode. I need some confirm guys! It is my wife's car, I didnt know until I drove it last week. She only drives it in auto and doesnt care or pay attention but I do. Please anyone with an 8" cluster..... :/

From page 89 of your owners manual - the ribbon tach between the speedo and the shift position indicator - does that change in a different drive mode to a economy gauge?

It doesnt exist in any regular mode! The customer support says it only shows up in a Dynamic driving mode, which the manual does not state as a condition for the tachometer display. Eco boost gauge shows up when set to Eco and the tach shows up in Hill descent mode but nothing in regular driving mode or manual shift, not even dynamic. Hill descent switches over to regular mode over 40kmph and the tach disappears. I dont even wanna say what the service rep over at the dealership told me, embarrassing.

Can you create an individual driving mode and change the display to dynamic? - as shown on page 406

Thumbs up

Thanks, I will tonight. I too figured that's the last resort.
I know the car had 2 software updates in the last 6 months, hopefully that did not screw things up.
I will try this over write and report back asap.

Unhappy

Yeah, so no go on this one. This car doesnt have a drive mode selector in the mid console. And electronically not available through on screen menu.
yup it looks like the 1st car in my family ever with no tachometer. Funny, the tachometer appears in hill descent. I guess Volvo doesnt want you boring the tranny out going downhill but they dont care of you destroy it otherwise. There's a Sport mode button but all it does is disables ESC. There is also a performance theme for the instrument panel.. it a joke lol.
I'm still having a hard time believing it, also the manual does not mention Dynamic mode specifically for the tach to display. I guess good thing I dont have to drive this crap shute myself. My wife will never lose sleep over it. Thanks for trying to help.

Just close it up, I guess they shouldn't even put a manual gear shifting.Without a tachometer looks funny and dumb at best. I'm no joking when I repeat what the service rep told me yesterday: you just have to listen to the engine and when it sounds loud you know you need to shift up.
I swear I'm not joking.... I wish this was a joke. Peace.

I´m afraid cars W/O drive mode switch (scroll wheel in the tunnel console) do not have the tachometer.
It seems that this information is missing from the owner's manual.
