Default Alarm came on and now won't start

I have a 2012 XC60 with keyless drive. Yesterday, the car was locked, the key was in my wife's purse, and I opened the door for her. The alarm came on, and we hit one of the buttons on the key to stop the alarm. My wife then got in the car to go to work, and it wouldn't start. It gave various messages, so I drove her to work.

When we got home yesterday, the car was completely dead. We boosted it, started it fine. I let it run for about 15 minutes and turned it off. Then started it back up.

This morning, my wife got in, instrument panel lit up ok, she attempted to start it, nothing. Does anyone have any info on what might be happening here? I think (hope) it just a simple electrical issue.

did you try boosting it for the restart? Do you get any warning errors on the dash?

I'm having a similar issue and the battery tests out fine. I've searched online and have found other problems like this with other volvo models. Mine the alarm goes off if I open anything other than the driver's door and then it won't start.
