AM Radio
The decision to remove AM radio from the 2022 XC60 was absurd. I assumed I could at least listen to my preferred radio station using one of the available apps. The only one that carries it is Audacy - which Google Assistant seems to know about but isn’t available for the car (like MOST apps). It’s available in Radio.com (which is really the predecessor app to Audacy) but that app appears to have been deprecated.
What solution - if any - has anyone found to getting AM stations and/or getting the above apps to work?
(BTW, the station I’m looking for is simulcast on an HD sub channel of a local FM station… Can the tuner in the car pick up the sub channels?)

A couple days after we got our 2022 XC60 recharge ER, we took a road trip and were trying to find the AM radio. At 71 years old my wife and I were laughing that we somehow could not navigate the technology enough to find something simple like the AM radio. We finally called our dealer from the road and he told us the car didn’t have it. I was stunned I have to admit. A radio without AM! Some of us still listen to it. Something about the AM radio signal screwing up something in the car. I too was a bit aggravated I wasn’t told about this when we got the car. It wouldn’t have been a dealbreaker but they should tell you. We use Radio.net. It works but it’s an inconvenience and an annoyance since you have to listen to about a minute of commercials every time you want a different channel. A minor annoyance in the scheme of things. I haven’t figured out if I can put it on the screen and not distract myself using it only on my phone while driving. Personally, I can’t believe they can’t figure out how to keep AM radio in the car. We’ve sent men to the moon for gosh sakes!!

Seems like another feature just missing from some cars and not others. Go figure!
