Default Blind Spot Alert(Sound?)

I have a 2018 XC60, and the blind spot indicator is just a yellow light. Is there a way to make it make a sound to alert you?

No. They don't want you to rely solely on that.

I asked about this too, when we took delivery of our 2022 Inscription, but Volvo doesn't put in sound with the mirror light. Even our Pacifica does this and we like it. It's added security, in my opinion.

I rented a Nissan Altima a few years ago that had the warning light on the inside of the car. It was not intrusive, but very effective. I like it better than the mirror light.

well although it doesn’t play a sound, the vehicle will not allow you to come into traffic by actually swerving you back into lane.

I personally feel vehicles with sound alert are too noisy on this front, but this is just a personal preference.

I agree, having the sound alert in my busy traffic commute every day would be way too much. It would constantly be going off. The light is just fine.
