Hi Guys,
New to the forum. Former Volvo owner thinking about getting back in with a XC 60.
Besides the super charger are there any other differences between the T5 and T6?
Do both require Premium gas?

manual https://volvornt.harte-hanks.com/man...US_TP25629.pdf on pg 454...it states 91 (USA) I only briefly looked at the T5.....The T6 was a fair bit peppier (ended up with a T8) If you goto the Volvo site u can compare them side by side.....but pretty sure its just the supercharger that is different between the T5 and T6

 

I bought a 2018 XC60 T6 service vehicle with 4600 miles. Leased it for 2 years then bought it. Great car and the seats are the best in the industry. The so called recalls were miner and not all VIN's were affected. One had to do with checking the bolt tightness on the front seats. Mine were ok .The second recall were the lift supports for the tailgate. It appears that the same lift supports are use on a lot of other cars that had the same recall. The third had to do with a new download.. My xc60 was an early build that was assembled in Sweden. before it was switched to China for assembly. Later, the assembly was returned to Sweden
Yes, The T6 requires premium fuel and I suspect the T5 does. If inside fuel door says premium is recommrnded then you can use regular. The T6 has to be premium. My T6 gets around 25 miles per gallen on a road trip, around town its around 18 to 20 mph. Go take a test drive and see for your self. By the way, their is no oil dipstick. You nan check the oil on the entertainment screen
