Default Electric boot switch CEM location?????

Hi all

can anybody tell me where the body control module is located on a 2010 XC60 that controls the electric boot switch????

some back round info would love some help as banging my head against a wall.

boot will not open on the electric switch, other than that the boot is not an electric opening and closing boot as has struts. We have swapped the switch, motor etc, we have plugged the cable from tailgate into another xc60 and the switch then worked, so know 100% that the fault is not in the tailgate section it is in the car! Cannot believe that it will be a broken wire, I want to swap the control module but even calling Volvo cannot locate its location.

many thanks

luke

The CEM that controls the boot switch is under the glove box in the Left hand Drive (North American) version.
I have the same year/model and the key fob, button and handle all stopped working. I too replace the handle and the motor only and riped out all the carpet to search for a short only to go to the dealer and pay $350 for diagonsis only find out it was in the CEM ($2000+). I decided due to the age of the vechicle to "hot wire" and ran a line (fused line) from the battery to a new switch under the dash and over to the wire coming from the boot to the CEM. Works great and only cost me $7. My wife is currently out of town with the volvo but if you let me know I can send you pictures and the color of the wire leading into the CEM from the boot latch motor.

No, I had no other problems thanother problems than the rear hatch door not working with the key fob or Release button. There were no other lights or intermittent issues.
