Default Engine and Cabin Pre-Heat Options? 2019 XC60-T8

I have a 2019 XC60-T8...just beginning to figure out this vehicle so my apologies if this is a really basic question. I live in Canada and this car will be driven in some cold winter conditions. What are the best options for pre-heating the engine(s) and cabin? Is there a block heater and/or cabin heater available that can be installed and run off a 110v plug-in (typically available at most outdoor parking spaces). Can such a setup be powered from the battery charging cable or does it need a separate power source? It there any way to control these functions remotely while conditioning the vehicle prior to start up?

Any advice from the forum would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I can tell you’re Canadian just by apologizing for asking a question. You can have a remote start engine software installed. Anything is possible but I don’t understand why you want a heater that’s unattended. The car should be loaded with heated seats and may have the steering wheel heater just look at the manual which is under settings. I have a heated blanket set up in my girls VW beetle because she complained about my sugar glider being cold lol women!

Yes...I'm Canadian. We apologize alot...sorry about that! I seem to have figured out Cabin Pre-Conditioning in the 2019 XC60...that allows the cabin and windows to be heated and defrosted in advance of driving. I have not yet figured out if and how the engine is preheated. I seem to recall reading somewhere that the plug-in power source also supplies an engine pre-heater that is standard with the vehicle.....but I have yet to confirm this. I'll call Volvo tech support when I have a chance.

If it has an engine block heater there should be 3-5 feet of black electrical cord tie wrapped under the hood, usually close to the grill or on the radiator support. But could also be on back side of engine coming up the firewall. Just have to look around. Photo is from a Chevy.
