I am new to the forum having purchased a 2018 XC60 a few months ago. We are really enjoying the vehicle.

Is there anyway to get the instrument display to show engine temperature. On cold mornings I like to monitor the temperature of the engine so it doesn't get driven hard until warmed up.

If the 2018 is like the 2019 then there is no way to display temperature, or oil pressure. I like to check the oil level myself and can't even do that because there is no oil dipstick!

 

Thanks for the reply. I can plug into the ODBII port and display the temperature data on my phone, but it would be so much easier if they made it an option. On my MINI it is one of the optional displays that you can call up, I was hoping for the same with Volvo. I guess they don't want to confuse us with information!

 

Both of my Jeeps display coolant temperature, oil temperature, transmission temperature, and oil pressure at the touch of a finger. I would think Volvo would want to do the same thing. Very surprising that it doesn't.

On ebay you can find some HUD display, it is connected to OBD II plug, it works for indicate temperature , voltage and some others paarameters

 

The HUD seems like a good option. I will look into it.
