Experience moving T8 from US to Europe?
I'm about to move from the US back to the Netherlands later this year. We currently own a US 2019 XC60 T8. We love the car and would prefer to keep it, also because the same car in the Netherlands would be considerably more expensive to rebuy.
The main issue is obviously the difference in plugs and voltage between the US and the Netherlands (or EU in general). I didn't buy to car with a future move in mind, but I always (naively) assumed that since I can connect the car to a level 2 charger (which are 240V in the US), this would just work as long as you have the right adapter for the plug. In the Netherlands road taxation is based on the weight of the car and I'd rather not be moving a heavy car that has a battery I can't use. We drive 80% of our rides in pure mode and expect to keep doing so after we've moved.
I've seen similar questions being asked before, but never with an actual concrete answer. My question is is wether someone has actually done this and can confirm this actually works?
