I’ve just become a proud owner of an XC60 and it’s great 👍
I have one issue though, the display is showing my actual speed in mph and i need it to show km.
The navigation and other options are all showing km but I can’t seem to find the option to change the big display in the middle.

Can anyone help me as I can’t find it in the manual.

Took the car to Volvo and asked them if they could help me and they kindly checked the computer. The conversation went as follows

Volvo: Where was this car originally from?
Me: I was told Germany by the dealer.
Volvo: Well the computer says it’s from California 🤔
Me: So what’s your advice?
Volvo: I have tried to install the Europe program but it won’t except it and if I do any more it will start costing money.
Me: What are my options?
Volvo: We can try installing programs on both computers but there is a risk the radio won’t work €600 or 2 new computers + paperwork for €2500 😮

Now I’m not sure what to do and who should be paying for all this.
Any ideas? 💡

 

Sounds like you are in Europe.
Check with the selling dealer how they would be able to sell a US car in Europe with a MPH speedometer. May not really be legal.

My car has a display option to show MPH in the display (not on the speedo) that we use when we travel to the US. Not sure if your car has that.

yes sorry I forgot to say I’m in Europe (Netherlands)

I’ve just sent an email to the dealer I bought the car from explaining what the Volvo guys had said and that he had not written anywhere on the advert that it was an American import.

I’ve asked him what he wants to do and now awaiting his answer.
