Default HUD Warning light

Getting an amber colored light over the speed indicator on my heads up display. Looks something like wavy lines at the bottom and a circle or flag on top. Does anyone have a clue what that is? Can't find it in the owner's manual. Thanks.

Wavy lines are usually related to traction control

Is the circle or flag perhaps a snowflake telling you it might be icy?

Definitely not traction control. Too warm for ice.

Maybe that thermostat/overheating warning but I would think that would show on dash and would store a warning. Coolant level is fine.

Default Mystery solved

Had my wife (it's her car) lower the HUD. Able to see the full symbol. It was the distance warning.

Default Not really

Wasn't that close to the car in front. Probably set to warn WAY in advance.

Agreed. It seems the sensors go off perhaps too early.

check with the dealer about having the safety systems calibrated. Have you had any recent work done (including replacing a windshield)?
