Default Installing Bimmer M stripes on front grill

Hello Volvo enthusiasts, I just bought my very first Volvo ever 2019 XC60 T5 Inscription, 20”wheels
I just installed the clip-on stripes (red-dark blue-light blue) similar to one’s on BMW M class to the front grill of mine just because I want to spice up the front a little but then I have mixed responses from my car-buddies. Some like, some don’t. I like it but I’m curious what do you Volvo owners think of it. This is my very first Volvo ever, so What y’all think could be very important to me. Please view pics. Thanks

personal decision, as long as your happy with it....Not something I would do....Maybe if it were just the blue Polestar colours....that would reflect more of Volvo.....

Volvo grills already have the diagonal stripe for asymmetry. So, aesthetically the vertical M stripes are busy and reflect the wrong brand. If you used blue/yellow/blue at least it would remain Swedish. But I agree, you can do whatever you want to your car.

Spicing it up with something associated with another brand? Not something I would do. That's worse than putting them on a non-M BMW.

It says, “I bought a brand new Volvo luxury SUV, but wish I had a more expensive BMW instead.” Why not get a Polestar upgrade and proudly display the Polestar badge? Polestar is like the Volvo equivalent to M.

Personally, I would never mix colors or brand messaging brand-to-brand. It's like putting a Nike swoosh over the Volvo emblem. The blue/yellow/blue is a good idea, or maybe blue on the diagonal stripe... something to show pride in your car (not another brand).

I may be hyper sensitive to this since I own both, but to each their own... <shrug>

Hey man. I think that most people who see it will be intrigued by it and wonder what it's about. I say go with it!

Why would you put BMW stripes on a Volvo? I have the stripes of the Swedish Flag on my grill (Light Blue Yellow and Light Blue)
