Default Re-attaching power to the door on drivers door

Regarding my 2009 Volvo XC60. Hopefully this is not a repeat but I can't find this specific issue discussed. I disconnected the power connection between the door and the engine compartment (the connection that resides by the door hinge. It was an attempt diagnose why I had power to my door locks but not the mirror or window controls.

I took the door panel off and also tried to remove the additional metal panel that also bolts connects to the window regulator. I took every bolt off the panel including the ones into the window regulator and still couldn't get that panel free. I did my best to bend it out and reach up enough to try and force the door wire harness back together but just can't get to it well enough unless I can get that entire panel off. Does anyone know what additional I need to do to remove that? Unfortunately I've gone backwards in that I have no power to the door whatsoever.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

John
