It’s wasn’t communicated but it seems that as long as the app is the latest version, remote start is working. It was working for me prior to the 1.8 update.
Could someone for whom the remote start works, share a screenshot of the app, and also their car software version?
1.8 got downloaded and installed last week. I didn't do a factory reset this time yet (I did do it after the 1.7), but so far, still no remote start that I can see in the app. App version 5.8.0, screenshot attached.
Click on the fan icon or pull the car picture to the right. Then scroll to the bottom. Gives you ability to start now or on a timer.
Last time I tried that (I think the car software must have been 1.6), it did not start the engine. In fact, it didn't do anything that I noticed. Do you know if it might have changed in 1.7 or 1.8?
Was this supposed to be included in the 1.8 update? Do I have to do a factory reset fot it to work?
Thanks
I saw it as an option in the mobile app, prior to the 1.8 update. It only worked once, however then not again. The app auto updated and remote start was working normally prior to 1.8. (which I now have and hasn’t affected remote start, still works fine).
I have other issues with 1.8, but nothing major beyond Sirius XM bugs.

So remote start actually works on your 2022 XC60?
Would you mind sharing a screenshot of what your Volvo app looks like? (And its version, from the app store, if you could ...)
Took me 2 hours w/ Volvo on call. . Turns out my okd Vvolvo l app from my f2021 needed to be updated. My 21 was flooded & declared a total loss. I just had to delete old app & start iover. Still two 2 hours to figure that out. Gotta say the Voikvo rep waa super parient & helpfuk. Also want to say say i i use an iPhone, do have a Google account, but gave up setting all the google stuff after the 2 hours. Maybe when I feel like gerrtting frustrated l & aggravated again I will try all that again. that. As long as i has remote start in winter & satellite radio, Im good for now.
This is the most plausible explanation that I've heard.
[QUOTE=crpowell;505900]I think it works for Apple users, but not for Android users.[/QUOTE
I was told that this new 1.8 update would fix the android issues with the app. It did not. But I have been told by Volvo countless times that is an android issue. I even deleted app and reinstalled. Note to everyone, it does not help, and definitely do not do this without deleting the car from the app first.
