So many issues with my 22 xc60 that I thought I would start posting some problems and their related fixes in case folks are hunting for solutions. Let me know if there is a better place to post stuff like this or if these get annoying
PSA #1 - Remote start suddenly stopped working: On 1/21, my Volvo Cars app running on iOS started throwing a "Your Volvo Could not be started because car is in use error" after working successfully for several weeks. I was able to lock/unlock the car, but could not get it to remote start. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app on the phone and it prompted me to re-setup the car using the VIN but the car already thought it was bound to a device, so that didn't change anything. Did a factory reset in the car and was able to re-add the car in the app, but the same error persisted. Called the dealer and explained the behavior. They opened a ticket with Volvo engineering who said they were aware. I had to take the car in to the dealer who needed to perform some kind of reset using their system. It was fixed in about 15 minutes and immediately fired up without any changes to my app. They said there was nothing I could do on my own to fix this issue, so it might be worth a call to your dealer if you see behavior like this.
