Unhappy Shaky steering wheel on 2012 XC60 R design

I just got a new R-design and the sterrring wheel oscillates at 50-55 MPH. The tires were rotated and balanced and the problem persists. Any ideas?

Yes, take it back to the dealer, it's under warranty. Don't spend a dime dealing with it, get a loaner and tell them to call you when it FIXED.

Agreed. See if they'll try road force balancing it. I'd guess it could be possible that the wheel is out of round.

As said, just leave it at the dealer and get a loaner. I've found when a loaner is given out problems are solved much faster.

Also keep a good record of dates, who you spoke to and a history of the issue.

I know this is an old post, but this exact thing happened with our 2012 S60 we bought used. In fact, two of the rims were bent–all the balancing in the world wouldn't fix that.

Too them to a wheel restorer who straightened them. Problem solved.
