strange noide like a fan rotating and hit something
My 2012 XC60 D3 has a strange noise under dashboard like a metal fan rotating and hit to something while driving but not depend on speed or unpave road. (Radio mute mode and air condition off). Anyone know ,where does it come from? Please help.

Ever find the source of this sound? We're hearing the same thing with our 2018. Going to call Volvo today to schedule an appointment, but wanted to see if you found out what it was.
Seems like it's a cooling fan for the center console system and the bearing is prematurely worn.
