Well, my 2022 XC 60 has gotten the TCAN issue a few days ago. I have tried home and defrost button resets already. Seem to not be an issue with LTE as it connects to internet fine. GPS stopped working and so did the FOBs. I have an appointment for service next week but until then I am having issues figuring out how to lock the car if i need to go somewhere. I can unlock using manual key and put the fob on the reader to start and drive the car. But in this day and age, there is no way I would leave the car unlocked. So anyone figure out how to lock the car while TCAM issues are going on? The app wont work either.
Side note, the car is under the Care program and I'm probably going to replace it with a recharge version. If i can get past 5 month mark with the replacement, then it's worth it. Hopefully they solve the TCAM over the next few months etc.
Still having TCAM issue, it has been a few days now. Today I started getting low power notice, so i just put a trickle charger on the battery under the front hood. I am hoping that the low battery maybe causing part of the problem with TCAM not resetting correctly. I retry once the battery fully charged up to see if it helps and report back.
Well for those who have TCAM issue and the reset doesnt work. I can confirm powering off the car and TCAM completely does resolve the issue. At least for models without the tail fin issue.
I got these steps from another forum post. (1) Open the tailgate and remove the all-weather mat (if applicable). (2) Lift the cargo compartment floor to expose the spare tire and use the rear strap & hook to hold it up while working. (3) Loosen the two cross straps that secure the spare tire. (4) Remove the spare and set it aside; the main battery is located directly underneath the spare tire. (4) Remove black plastic cover and disconnect the negative terminal from the battery post (10mm hex bolt). (5) Locate the TCAM backup battery. It is on the rear, right-hand side of the cargo compartment underneath the foam storage block. You have to lift up the edge of the foam storage block to expose the TCAM backup battery, but it does not have to be removed to access the connector. (6) Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the TCAM backup battery. You have to use a tiny flat-head screwdriver (or similar tool) to depress the tab on the connector to free it. (7) Let the car sit about 15 minutes once both batteries are disconnected. (8) Reconnect the main battery and the TCAM battery following the reverse of the steps above. (9) Replace the spare tire and secure with adjustable straps. Lower the cargo compartment floor to its original position, and put the all-weather mat back in place. (10) Start the car and give it a few minutes to reboot Android Automotive and restart GPS/LTE/Wi-Fi service.
Battery under spare tire and negative terminal to remove TCAM battery on top right under foam TCAM battery plug that needs to be removed.
