Default Where is the Sirius Module?

I recently bought a 2010 XC60 R-Design with a non-working radio. When it's switched on, the screen briefly flashes the "High Performance Sound" splash screen, but then nothing. If I press the MODE button, it will flash AUX | Sirius 1 | Sirius 2 | USB on the screen, but all are grayed out. I thought for sure it was a dead radio unit, so I got a replacement but it didn't make a difference. I checked all the relevant fuses and all are okay.

Next, I checked for fault codes and got the following, both in the ICM:
ICM-U1A1587 Incomplete MOST Ring Reported by ICM. Bus/Signal Message Failures. Missing Message
ICM-U1A2400 MOST Ring Complete. No Communication. General Failure Information. No Sub Type Information

I'm not a Volvo or MOST expert by any stretch of the imagination, but it seems simple enough to buy a MOST bypass and try to isolate the fault. I found the amplifier under the passenger seat and have read elsewhere that the Sirius module is a common failure item. So it makes sense to see if bypassing it will work. But where is it? I haven't been able to find it. I think I know what it looks like, and would prefer to not disassemble the interior hunting for it.

Or, do those error codes indicate a problem elsewhere?

What part did you replace? The icm or the iam?

I replaced the Media Player (IAM). My car doesn't have an ICM like the one pictured. This is what my radio looks like.

I'm still needing some help with this. Could somebody help me locate the Sirius module?

Here's info from Volvo - They show all available modules in the diagrams - I doubt you have the PHM, phone, MMM multimedia, SUB, woofer and others. Note the most data communication is through the orange fiber optic line - and if anyone is disconnected - none of them work.

Aha - so it's under the rear seat! OK! Now I know where to look. Thank you!

OK, so I found my problem. And learned that I'm an idiot for not checking the simple stuff first. For some reason the fiber optic cable was unplugged from the amplifier under the driver seat. I have no idea why someone would do that. I did find something weird, though. This car is equipped with satellite radio and I found the module. But it was disconnected (fiber optic, power and antenna). And it had a bypass installed for the fiber optic. I plugged it all back in and it seems to be working fine. Odd!

Some models of the Sirius radio had an issue with the receiver staying on draining the battery. Wondering if the PO unplugged due to that concern. Note sure if that applies to your model but you may want to check with a dealer to see if there's a service bulletin for you model and if there's a software update to be applied.
