Default Going Crazy with Sirius dead

I am new and am losing my mind over my Sirius radio....,or should I say , lack of Sirius radio. Spent hours on phone with Sirius and Volvo. Both seem to blame each other.
Regardless, 2009 S40. I have successfully activated my Sirius subscription for the radio in the car, but the radio does not give me anything other than "Sirius 1" and "Sirius 2" option. No sound. Now promo channel 184. Nothing. My am/fm works fine. CD works fine. Aux works fine. Just the darn Sirius does not work at all. Just kind of a blank screen with no sound when I choose it as the option. Checked the module and it is all plugged in, with power going to it. Am I missing something? Is there a reset button? Do I need to take it in for a software update or something? I have had Sirius reset it five times. Nothing. Please help, as I am going insane.

Soooo...should I take this into the dealer? Do they do a software reset? Is there anything I can do on my own?

Default Dead Sirius

I know your post is a couple years old but I'm having the same problem with my 2010 S40. Did you find a solution?
