Where's the XC60 forum?
I just bought a 2010 xc60 and would like to exchange ideas etc on this vehicle. I would especially like to know about making changes to the vehicle like:
1 - installing bi-xenon lights, and
2 - figuring out how to program the lights to go on when I unlock the car and stay on when I turn the car off.
Is it possible?

The dealer and Volvo North America told me it's not possible. If you know something I don't please let me know. I'd like them to go on when I open the car and also when I lock it - for a minute while I'm walking to or away from the car. Every European high end car does it in some form or fashion so it's hard to believe that Volvo missed this.

I found something!
Years ago in Prague I had a Skoda Superb as a company car. There was a feature that I thought was odd but it worked. After you turn off the engine, you pull the blinker stalk, as when you flash your brights, and the headlights stay on for about a minute. I tried it last night on my 2010 xc60 and it worked!! I'll bet even the dealer doesn't know it and you'd think that the engineer at Volvo North America would have told me that but, no, he didn't.
Correction: You have to open the door, THEN pull back on the blinker stalk. The headlamps stay on for about one minute.

Gotta say that there are little things that I thought would have been included - garage opener for example. HID headlights are another but I guess that's a US thing because I think in Europe the come with them (not Xenon, just HID). I also don't like the headlight/fog light switch location. You can't see the buttons while driving. You have to take your eyes off the road to make sure you turn on the right fog lamps. The least they could have done was put an indicator on the instrument cluster to let you know they are on. Ok, it's minor but still....
