Whistling sound, PCV
2011 XC60 T6 R
I replaced the PCV box (a pain with the turbo) to hopefully cure the whistling sound as recommended by reading a ton of forums on the subject. (not always but happens at idle, goes away when remove the oil cap or increase RPM, etc).
This did not cure the whistling sound. Also when engine running and not whistling, I notice a small, short whoosh air sound towards the front left of the engine.
Any thoughts on next steps? Could a hose somewhere be clogged?
thanks!

Not clogged, but you might have a vacuum hose with a hole in it or has come disconnected. The whistling is the air being sucked into the vacuum.
Sometimes you can find the general location of the leak with a portable propane torch. Don't light the torch, but with the vehicle outside, crack open the valve to about 50%. Point the propane stream around areas where you seem to hear the whistle. If the RPM's increase, it will narrow down closer where the vacuum leak is.
