Hi, while driving the engine light came on and the error message slow down or down shift came on and it started running rough. I pulled over, shut it off and restarted it. That cleared the engine light but it still ran rough. I nursed it a couple more miles and the entire dashboard lit up, I lost all power and it died. Had it towed home and it won't start. It will roll over just fine.

I found a coil with a hole in the top of it and I replaced that. It is throwing 4 electrical codes. I found a blown engine coil fuse. However as soon as I crank it, it blows the fuse again. I can't see any visible wire damage.

I just called the only place around me that works on Volvos and was told their tech retired.

can you post the 4 codes? also which fuse is blowing? you'd need to know what else is on that circuit - as it may not be the coil blowing the fuse...
