Default XC60 2023 - Radio audio

Does anyone have a solution to the radio audio not starting when the vehicle is started? I have to touch the play arrow each time I start the car. The station that is connected to my FOB is selected but it does not start playing the Sirius XM station. Thanks in advance for any insights in solving this inconvenience, Jim

Ditto.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or if it is supposed to be a feature, one that I just don't understand. Perhaps the Swedes have a different idea of how these things should work.

Mine is usually set to iHeart radio, and starts playing almost immediately, after a very short connection buffer. FM radio also plays without prompt. (ver 2.9) I didn't keep my SiriusXM subscription up, too repetitive and problematic, so can't comment on that.

Also...since the 2.7 update, the volume **** under the center display will not mute Spotify. I can turn volume up and down but the pause button (center) will not mute. Everything works for SiriusXm. Crazy.

Thanks for the replies. Maybe Volvo/Google will catch this inconvenience one day and fix it. Thankfully it is only a minor issue.

Software update 2.5 was supposed to fix this. Here is the bullet statement in the description of the update:
  • Google Assistant support for SiriusXM added for subscribers to the service in North America.
Apparently this update DID NOT fix the Sirius XM problem. I know Google recognizes Sirius XM because I can tell it to switch to a Sirius station and Google will tell me it has switched. However it doesn't switch; when you give the voice command Google seems to recognize Sirius but nothing happens. I have no clue on what to do next. I have talked to dealership about this but they have no clue. You can switch. radio stations and they switch fine, it is just the Sirius stations that have a problem.

Default Installed software 2.10

Yesterday I installed software update 2.10 and today I got in the car to go out and the same issue - no audio. Made a stop, got back in the car, started it and the radio started playing on Sirius like it is supposed to. Go figure!! Just hoping the safety features do not go south at the drop of a hat like the radio!!

Thanks, BusterOz! Rebooted Google and so far, 3 out of 3 times the music started playing when the car started. And when I get into the car it is now going to my FOB settings where recently it had been going to my wife's settings. Can't wait for AI to really screw things up!!
