Default hose leak

My 2019 XC60 with 20K miles just stopped the other day on a major road in bumper to bumper traffic. The brake light came on at first and I was able to drive a little bit but could feel the car starting to stop. the next moment it stopped all together. All the lights came on on the dashboard, I put it in park and then couldn't turn the car off or shift gears. It had to be towed. The dealer fixed it and told us there was a hose leak from the sun roof which caused the car to shut down. They said it is a fluke thing and has seen it happen only 2-3 times. I saw no evidence of water anywhere in the car. I have owned Volvos for 30+ years and never had an unnerving incident while driving any of them. I am worried now since the car is soon to come off lease and I may have to purchase it since there aren't any new cars to lease. Has anyone had this happen to them? Is the dealer giving me a line???

My wifes 2020 xc60 had an unseen water leak that damaged a module. (and made the car undriveable) Don't remember the name but it was not an expensive module. Water will pool under the carpets, and there is up to 4 inches of foam rubber bonded to the carpet - so usually the carpet comes out to be dried for a couple of days. (all was under warranty) How long was your repair time?

Thanks for the feedback. Repair time was 1-1/2 days. Funny thing was I never saw any evidence of water inside the car. Have you had any issues with your car since?
