XC60 ease of entry for elderly person
Can someone tell me how easy it is to get into and out of the front seats of a XC60 Crossover for an elderly person? Specifically, is there much of a step up to get into the passenger compartment and get seated?
My parents are both in their 80s and my XC60 is much easier to get in and out of than their own Cadillac. The XC60 is about butt height so there's no stepping up to really worry about. Dad grabs the door frame and with only a little help on my part he's in and comfortable. I guess it might have been nice to have a grab bar on the window pillar (like Tahoes) but it's no big deal and unlike the Tahoe you don't have to jump up to get in.
My dad is 89 and has no problem getting in and out. He's short too and has no problem getting in and out. Plus the grab handle helps. Rear seat is almost as good for him.The XC60 is the perfect height.
