When I was going through my paper work for my 2020 XC60T6 Inscription, I found out the car was made in Sweden with parts from Sweden and Belgium except for the transmission, which was Japanese. Does anyone know if it's a major Japanese manufacturer?

 

Aisin is Volvo's main transmission supplier (and Toyota/Lexus fyi). If you have an 8 speed auto, its probably an Aisin TG-81 SC

 

Mine's an 8 speed. Does Aisin make them for Honda, Subaru, Mitsubisi etc.?

 

According to Wikipedia, the Aisin TG-81 SC is on most Volvo cars and on some very reputable models like BMW X1, Toyota Camry/ RAV4, Lexus RX/ES.
