Hi all
I have had my XC60 for approximately 5 months now and have driven 13000km. Since owning this car I have had an issue where the entire dash and entertainment system has gone blank while driving at least two times. I have brought it back to volvo who had advised this had happened to a few people and they reset my computer.
Today I was stopped at a giveway sign and I think the car autoturned off. I tried to drive forward and i look down and the car has turned off, the engine light is flashing and saying turn ignition **** or something like that. I had to put my car in park then turn the car on again manually (would not allow to be turned on other than in park). As soon as I turned it back on the engine light turned off. Has anyone had this happen to them? I was stationary in an automatic car. I have more than a quarter tank of fuel left. Any idea why this would happen? I am due for a service soon but wondering if anyone has any ideas or if this has happened to them before?
Just a note, it really helps to describe which XC60 you have (model and MY at least). If it's a 2022+ there are numerous issues reported from the transition from Sensus to AAOS.
I experienced once with my XC60 B5, at a traffic light, with driving mode at D and I was holding on to the brake, the engine didn't automatically turn on. I suppose this is the fuel saving feature.
