I notice when I shut down the motor that the pump is not coming on anymore.I remember reading here that this pump is to ensure there is proper oil pressure at the turbo upon shutdown.I think it was said on the older versions that idling was required before shutdown.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

 

Never heard of this pump, but let it idle a few minutes if driven hard before shutdown.

 

It is now coming on intermittently when shut down so it still works whatever it is but I do know that it is not a cooling fan,but yea I do let it idle before shutdown.
