1998 XC70AWD 2.5 Barometric Sensor
Hi all.
I had a check engine light that came on and the dealer said it was the barometric sensor. They want an arm and a leg for it. I need to see if anyone knows where to find one cheap, and where exactly it is located so I can change it out. I am going to sell my baby for a new one and I am sure the new owner does not want any idiot lights on.
If you need any further info, e-mail me at mspcrjcapt@comcast.net.

The baro sensor os mounted to the front of the subframe on the right side of the car.
Alot of times the high pressure switch for the A/C is the problem not the baro sensor.

Is it the small black Bosch (approx 1 inch X 2 inch) right behind the headlight? Where is the H/P switch for the A/C located? Is there any way to isolate the problem?
Thanks again for the time you spend with all of us.

The high pressure switch is located on the end of the A/C line behind the right side headlight. In front of where the fill port is.
I really haven't fault traced that much and isolated other then trying a new switch. That was the best part of working at the dealer.
