Hello.The XC70 has 109,000 miles and the front springs are broken.Since we are going to be in there,are the struts due?What is the typical mileage of this part?Thanks.

 

I would say so along with spring seats and maybe a bearing plate. It depends how you drive I suppose on the shocks what mileage. It must be a northern car?

 

If you are taking broken springs and replacing them you would be very disappointed on down the road if you did all that work and did not replace the struts and the springs. Don't sell yourself short at this point! I would definitely do a complete job with new strut bearing/mount and strut seats.
