2006 XC79 with HU-650 radio/cd player. Front speakers do not put out any sound - with fader to only front it's muted. Pulled driver's side speaker and it works. Figuring might have a problem with the amplifier, if there is one.

My question - do all these models have a stereo amp? If so, where might it be located? I've read of them being under the passenger's seat but I see nothing under there unless it is covered by carpet which wouldn't make any sense.

Any help would be appreciated.
