2010 XC70 - leaking power steering pressure hose
Hi!
I have a 2010 XC70 3.2 with a leaking power steering pressure hose. Today, I brought it to a mechanic to run VIDA, find the leak and quote for a fuel pressure sensor replacement.
He quoted $600 for OEM hose and 3 hrs of labor for the power steering hose replacement only, and he isn't willing to install an aftermarket hose. So roughly $1000 CAD (+tax).
Wondering, has anyone had experience changing the power steering pressure hose? Last year I replaced the AC compressor myself, and I am familiar with how awful it is to access the power steering pump. I'm considering doing this myself and putting in an aftermarket hose. I wanted to ask around and see if anyone has had experiences related to this, and any advice.
