2015 T6 XC70 Cooling Fans
Recently I’ve noticed that my the radiator fans on my XC70 have been staying on for a few minutes after the car has been turned off.
Today I was in heavy traffic and I got a notice to slow down as the temp was getting too high, followed by a warning to turn the engine off to avoid overheating. I immediately turned off a side street and the temp came down pretty quickly.
When I was able to pull over I checked and the radiator fans were not spinning, even with the AC on full blast and the temp above half way. I figured that the relay had gone bad.
After I got to my destination (making sure to stay moving) I shut the car off and the fans came on full speed for a few minutes once again.
Is there any specific reason this might be happening? I flushed the coolant about 5k ago and it was fine for a trip from Florida to California towing a trailer.
I appreciate any help!

Normally is the fan control module that fails in this cars. You must buy the complete fan, but there is some china control module that works for a while, in order to be sure that the module fit to your car you must find for the right part number of your fan. Also the is a Gates module
