Unhappy 98 XC70 P0131 and P0137 on help

Hi We replaced both oxygen sensors. The first plugged in 2nd had the be spliced. Before the replacement there was P0131 now 2 codes!!!!!!!! Help I am confused. The reason second sensor was spliced is because someone cut the connector!!!!Thanks

Have you tried clearing them and driving it again?
Sometimes the computer takes a few drives to recalibrate the repair.

Maybe it might be the sensor or how you wired it up.
Volvo's really do not like spliced O2 senors.

I tried buying a connector Volvo wants to sell me a whole new wiring harness at $1300.00 Ouch.

Yes ouch. Maybe try redoing the connection and see if it gets better.

Possibly but then it would have had the 2 codes before instead of the one. That's why I was leading to the wiring.
But since it is a 98 if you can find a used computer cheap try it.

you might try to see if you have a bad ground or open in the harness the 02 sensors get plugged in at

Default Volatage

Hi any one know how many volts the oxygen sensor is supposed to receive. There are 2 ground wires and 2 live. Thanks

If it is unplugged I believe it gets a 5 volt reference.
