Driving the car last night about 30mph. Then engine lost all power, but didn't die. I pulled over and let it the engine idle and with in a minute or so it was running normal and I drove home at normal speeds/power. This morning, it started for 5 to 10 seconds, then shut off. Not a sputter, I'm out of gas, but a smooth shut off, like when you turn of the car. I can wait 5 minutes and the engine will start and then it shuts off just like before. If I try to start it immediately after it shuts down, it won't start.

My first thought was that there was air in the fuel line, so I press the bleed valve and didn't get any fuel at first, but after 5 or 6 tries, I got fuel.

Still starts and dies, but I can press the air bleed valve, and start it again with out waiting 5 minutes. But it still won't run.

Any Ideas?

Is the check engine light on? Regardless, it would not hurt to get a scan of any history codes to help in diagnostics.
