Volvo says message probably caused by resting something on seat may go off if not they can reset for $169.00 can this I check an reset this?

 

I have that same message in my 2003 XC70. I had the Volvo dealership look into and they told me that there is a computer module that has gone bad. Since the airbag message has came on I am also having problems with my clock spinning time around and my trip meter resets randomly.

They quoted the module computer system part that I need at around $1200.00. I declined the part and the work and have just let it be.
