Default Airbags

I have a new 04 and had the SRS aibag warning light go on. Turned out to be the driver's side pretensioner in the body column. However, while I waited for this part to come in, the service dept turned off this warning light. I now wonder if there is a way I can tell if everything is in correct operation. If I take my seatbelt off (even while driving) I don't get a message of any type and that has caused me to question if I'm truly being protected. Also, how warm do your seats get?

Thanks, Karen

There should be no problem with you being protected 100% while you are still driving around waiting for the part to come in.

Thanks Tech,

Sorry if I was ambiguous, but the airbad has been fixed. However, I still wonder about my safety because I don't get a warning if the seatbealt is off. I have the on-dash computer and it doesn't produce a message if the belt is on or off. So I was just wondering.
Thanks, Karen
