I'm looking for a self-contained unit that can communicate with all of the modules: ECM, BCM, DEM, REM etc in second-generation (P2) V70s. Autophix claims that their unit is Volvo-specific but I would have a much warmer feeling if they were more explicit about which modules they can and cannot deal with.

I realize that VIDA is the gold standard but I don't want to lug a laptop along with me.

 

I decided to buy an iCarsoft i906 instead because it's made for Volvo and Saab only. I haven't used all of its functions yet but it seems to get into all of the modules just fine. I'll report back when I have more experience with it.
