Default best all season tire for 04 XC70

It is time to replace my Kumho solus tire on my 04 Volvo XC70. I have the tires since Jan 2008 and have about 30K miles on it. A small piece of rubber is gone from the side of one rear tire maybe because I help my friend practicing too much parallel parking.

My option for the all season tire is:
1)OEM Pirelli Scorpion STR from Volvo
2)Michelin Latitude Tour from Costco
3)Nokian from a local tire shop
4)Buy any tire from tirerack and pay $120 shipping to Canada.

We are 500 north of Minneapolis and have 4 month snow in the winter. Which tire should I buy this time?

I'm on my second set of Michelin Hydro Edge tires. I got 65,000 from the first set and we have a good bit of snow in Boston. Great tires.

I'm partial to Michelin brand tires. You will probably pay a little more but they usually outlast most other brands.

My first post here, and I would love to have input from other Volvo enthusiasts. I recently purchased a used 2004 XC70 - a great car that was very well cared for! It just need new tires, and I would love to have recommendations. I live in Pacific Northwest (wet in winter) and would prefer all-season tires.

Thank you for your time!

Tirerack.com has excellent content for comparing brands and prices. All seasons come in several categories ie performance which puts a premium on handling/braking, touring for wear, ride comfort, lower noise. Brands will vary by price ranging for Mich's being the most expensive, Sumitomos and similar are the least.

I have a 2004 XC70 also, Highly recommend General Tire Grabber A/T 215/65R16 size if have stock 16" rims. That's Volvo stock size. Love mine.
