buy this 2000 V70 XC?
We have the opportunity to buy a 2000 V70 XC with just over 100,000 miles for $6995 from a non-Volvo dealer. The car appears to be in nearly perfect condition. Carfax shows it was a one-owner car that had regular maintenance through the 75,000 maintenace in 2005. Then, no maintenance is listed until Nov. 2008 when the dealer got it.
When we test drove it, the check engine light came on. The dealer took it took a local import car repair shop who said it could be the O2 sensor or just a computer glitch. We got to drive the car for the weekend and now the ABS, check engine and traction control light came on after about 15 miles. We also put in some gas. This morning the traction control light is off.
Should we go for it or walk away? Thanks for all comments.

RE: buy this 2000 V70 XC?
Well the O2's are somewhat common to go bad.
The ABS module is most likely the cause of the lights. You can get it rebuilt for about $100.00.
Are you going to have the car inspected before buying it?
Have a shop that knows Volvo's look it over.
The center driveshafts are known to go bad. They are about 1K to buy a new one. Most remove them and drive it as a FWD.
