Ran the battery dead yesterday and got a jump start. All was well until I tried to unlock the doors today. Fobs won't unlock the doors and the keys won't either.

When I turn the keys (2 fobs and valet key) in the only lock (driver door), the locking button raises slightly, but not enough to unlock the door.

I suspected that perhaps the battery is dead, but I can't get in to unlatch the hood to charge/replace the battery.

I give up.. What do I do now?

 

I guess no one here is aware of how the security system works.. so I shall enlighten you!

The roadside service guy informed me that when the security system is activated, the doors cannot be opened with a key! The alarm must be turned off first. SO.... When the battery died with the alarm on, key access was denied.

He used inflatable pouches to get access, and then jump started it once we could get inside.
