I was able to restart the car several times while attempting to limp it home approximately 1/2 mile. After pulling into the garage I shut off the engine and now it will not restart. It will click a couple times but the starter will not engage. Is it possible the charge pipe came off with such force it damaged the wires to the starter located just beneath it? Ideas are certainly appreciated.

 

Haven't had a chance to check the starter connections yet. Any ideas are appreciated.
