Anybody experience a dashboard not illuminating, everything seems to work but simply lights out. I have a 2003 xc70

 

Maybe the bulbs are bad.

 

VADIS says the 2003 DIM uses LEDs and you have to replace the whole caboodle if they die, ouch!

 

I have a similar problem; but, it is related to the ABS/SRS system. It appears as though the warning indications light, the warning sound activates then the entire dashboard goes dark.

Do you have the check engine light on?
Does it flash every once in a while?

may need to check the SRS/ABS
