the serial number is usually on a sticker on the timing belt cover, and is also stamped into the block on the firewall side of the #1 cylinder.
No magic to decoding VINs, there's plenty of online decoders. Your engine code is the 6/7th values - a 59 maps to a B5254T2 - and your car's serial number (for part number breaks is the last 5 digits
