Default RE: Headlights Going Out, one then the other

Hi again, I just realized a few days ago that my lights are at different setting now (after the dealer replaced the harness and the low beam light bulb on the passenger side). It used to be, I think, only the low beam lights are on when the light switch is at "off" position which serve as the day time running lights. The front low beam lights are on, as well as the rear lights are on when I turn the switch to "on" position when it's dark out or when you use the wipers.

However, both front low beam lights and rear lights are on all the time now no matter the switch is at the "on" or "off" position. Is this normal?

My other question is about the light switch. What does the middle setting do? And under what circumstances will you turn the light switch to the middle position?

Thanks in advance again!

May be this is the wrong place to post the tail light question. I'll start a new one then.
