I am a new volvo owner and I just realized that the heat in the driver seat is not working. Would it just be a fuse or could there be multiple causes?

 

I thought this too when I bought mine months ago. Then found out that it was indeed working, but just didn't get "hot" like I was used to with other seat heaters. I think they only warm up to about 98 if they are functioning correctly. Wait for a cold day, then double check it if you want.

If it is a fuse, it's in the panel in the doorjam side of the dash on the driver side.

I have the same problem on my 2003 XC70. I bought it used and the driver side seat heater has never worked since I got it. SO I am curious about the fix.

 

If nothing obvious, your climate control module which controls the seat heaters my have an issue. It will need to be hooked up to vida to check for sure about the programing.

 

Try checking the switch first, this is what was wrong with my drivers seat... my mechanic swapped the driver and passenger side to see if this was the issue, which thankfully it was, now just trying to find the replacement part.
