Manual Transmission

What years did they make the car with a manual transmission? Or did they?

I am not sure if any XC's came to the U.S. with manaul tranny's. But S70's and V70's did.

Man, what is the deal with America...is 95 percent of the population scared of stick shifts and diesels?

From what I understand the manual is a lazy issue.
But the Diesels is something about emissions standards or something like that.
