Good day everyone, I am new here. My daughter has a 1997 Cross Country with 82,000 miles that she received as a gift from my mother who really babied the car. The check engine light has come on and our newest auto repair place in Parker, CO tells her the Evaporator Valve and, as Catherine states, a charcoal filter are the culprits and that it will be $500 to fix this. I am completely unfamiliar with Volvos and would like advice as to understand what this is and if in fact this cost is in line and reasonable. Thanks in advance for your help.
