Not quite a misfire....
I have a 98 V70XC with the 2.4L 5cyl Turbo engine. It has a mis-fire, but it doesn't. At idle or in drive it feels like it has little power and almost like one cylinder isn't firing (does NOT trip the CEL or throw any codes) but in reverse, it runs smooth and has a lot of power.... New Plugs, Wires, Cap, Rotor, and some vacuum lines. I have checked all over the engine for a vacuum leak with brake cleaner and have found none. I haven't checked the turbo yet, but it's suspect because of the small cloud of blue behind the car in the morning (i have a spare turbo I hope to swap in this weekend) I am also borrowing the compression tester from my Step-Dad to check all 5 cylinders. Is there a way to check the injectors before I pull them? So far, this car has been a basket case, if it weren't for the AWD and safety, I might be tempted to trade it off.... Does anyone have any ideas or similiar problems?

Is it possible that one of the charge tubes or the intake (cheap flimsy plastic type) hose form the intake box to the turbo has a crack in it? Seems logical that it runs good in reverse, but when the car is in drive or neutral (Engine tilted the other way) it runs poor? New injectors and rear o2 sensor tonight. No difference.
